Cindy considers herself an outgoing introvert. She likes spending time with people but enjoys being at home with her family more. Cindy lives outside of San Antonio, Texas with her husband and two dogs, aka their four-legged children. She has two children and two bonus children (all adults). She loves being a grandma to her three adorable grandbabies; watching them grow and having “Nana Day” with them. When not spending time with her family, she enjoys crafting, reading, and completing jigsaw puzzles.
Cindy is the oldest of her three sisters. Cindy’s middle sister placed a child for adoption, and she was an integral part of finding her niece and her niece’s biological father. Once she learned of the DNAngels organization, she immediately wanted to be a part of it so that she can help others connect to their biological families.
Cindy works during the day as a Sales Administrator for a technology company and is also an Intake Specialist for DNAngels. In the early 1990s, she began researching her family tree and became the family historian, doing her research the old fashion way; going to the library, requesting documents in the mail, and handwriting notes. She is a member of the International Society of Genetic Genealogy (ISOGG) and will be continuing her knowledge of genealogy by attending the Root Tech conference in 2022.
Cindy and her husband love to travel. Her favorite places they have been so far are the Azores, Portugal, and Paris, France.
Cindy looks at life positively, despite the challenges she has faced in her life. She counts her blessings and always finds something to be grateful for. We at DNAngels are very happy to have her part of our team.
